What's the difference between a skip, a partial play, and a full play?

Pitching in Songspace allows you to send tracked links to recipients. These links track the recipient's views, plays, and downloads in relation to the pitch. You can learn more about pitching here.

In addition to seeing a recipient's total plays on a pitch, you can also see what types of plays were included. Here's a definition of each different type of play that is tracked.

Skip

A skip is counted when the recipient listens to less than 10% of the recording on the pitch.

Partial play

A partial play is counted when the recipient listens to more than 10% but less than 90% of the recording on the pitch.

Full play

A full play is counted when the recipient listens to more than 90% of the recording on the pitch.
